New Balance Run Hub Pop-Up, Seongsu Seoul
A dual-lens photo booth with a custom wood exterior and flush-mounted aluminum frame, built to disappear into the New Balance Run Hub pop-up store in Seongsu, Seoul.
New Balance Run Hub Pop-Up — Dual-Lens System & Built-In Booth
PhotoNemo's AI photo booth was installed at the product-launch pop-up store at New Balance Run Hub in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, South Korea. The project combined two firsts: a newly developed dual-lens shooting system, and a custom-fabricated aluminum frame that let the booth sit flush inside the store build-out.
Event Overview
The Run Hub pop-up drew long lines from the entrance — fitting for a store known as a runners' landmark. The PhotoNemo booth sat on the first floor and stayed busy into the late hours.

To match New Balance's classic, refined mood, the booth exterior was finished in a warm wood frame.
The Dual-Lens System

The technical centerpiece was the dual-lens system: two lenses mounted at different heights capture the face and the shoes at the same time — developed specifically for this brand, where the shoes are the story.
Being able to frame both yourself and your running shoes in one shot resonated strongly with visitors. Prints came out as emotive black-and-white photographs with the finish of a fashion-magazine page.
Built-In Design and Custom Hardware

A PhotoNemo booth is designed to work as part of the space, not equipment placed in it. Working closely with the event agency, we built a flush-mounted design that fit the store build-out without a gap.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Frame material | Custom aluminum frame, precision-machined to the client's spec |
| Spatial fit | Flush-mounted design engineered for the site — not an off-the-shelf placement |
| Install time | Under 30 minutes on site, thanks to precision pre-fabrication |
On the software side, the thermal-label black-and-white printing kept running costs low while the print footer carried New Balance campaign lines such as "In it for the Long Run" along with the run-time stamp — turning every print into brand media.
Visitor Response

As expected of a headline pop-up, the booth saw heavy use with consistently positive reactions. Shooting shoes and face together — something ordinary booths don't do — plus the emotive black-and-white output made the prints feel like a keepsake specific to this store.

FAQ
Can the booth hardware itself be customized?
Yes. Beyond software and print frames, PhotoNemo fabricates custom hardware — this project used a precision-machined aluminum frame and wood exterior so the booth mounted flush into the store build-out.
What is the dual-lens system?
A configuration with two lenses at different heights capturing the face and the feet in a single session, composited into one frame — first introduced at this New Balance pop-up. It suits footwear and fashion brands where the product needs to be in the shot.
How long does installation take?
For this flush-mounted build, on-site installation took under 30 minutes thanks to precision pre-fabrication. A standard booth install typically takes 30–60 minutes.
